I think I should update, since I haven't done it for a couple weeks. Not much has happened since. Classes have picked up, so I've been busy with work. I think it's really good that I'm not a procrastinator because I haven't been stressing nearly as much as some other people. Ok, now for some random things that have happened/are going to happen:
(1) I went to a meeting tonight for the yearbook, which I found out pays me $500 for the year, plus bonuses for on-time deadlines. I'm really happy to hear this, because I definitely would have done it anyway.
(2) I'm going to see Condoleezza Rice this Friday. Originally I entered a lottery to see her, but everyone from the lottery got tickets, which is pretty good. Even though I'm not a big fan of her, I still think it will be cool to see the Secretary of State speak. Bill Gates is also coming in a couple weeks, so I want to try and see him too.
(3) There's some kind of high school program taking place on campus this week for students interested in classics, I believe. My roommate and I have decided to host one of the students since we have a lot of space in our room, and our big window seat is great to sleep on. Anyone who wants to come up here can def. stay with me! :)
(4) I've been extremely busy, yet I don't feel stressed, and I manage to get 8-9 hours of sleep every night. It's incredible.
(5) I feel like physics is taking over my life. I do some form of physics work everyday it seems. I have precept MWF for an hour, lecture on Tues for an hour, and a 3-hour lab on Monday, not to mention the work they assign for us to do and the 80-page readings in the textbook each week. Ok, so technically I've had all the material before, but they solve some of the problems differently than Rosen, so I'm trying to stay on top of things and do my work like I should. In general, I have tons of class time because I'm taking both Chem and Physics, which are 7 hours each per week. Total I have 20 hours of class time, which is more than anyone else I know with 4 classes. Insanity..
(6) Wow, this list is long. hmm...Friday nights here are interesting. It's not one of the big party nights of the week, so most people just chill and such. Thursdays and Saturdays are big, but I have a physics quiz each Friday at 9 am, so no Thursday nights for me, at least for now.
Ok, this list is long enough and I have chem reading to do. im me if you wanna catch up on life :)
