Kyle Rayner is free, and for a brief moment he feels a connection with the crispy air around him and the simple freedom and joy of a man in flight. Combined with the simple joy that freedom brings was the knowledge he would soon be reunited with Jenny and the rest of his friends

Hal lands near Kyle, an expression of anger on his face.

"Kyle. Good to see you again. You doing alright?"

He acknowledges Ari, Guy, and Kilowog with a nod.

"Hal!" Arisia lets go of Guy and, regardless of his mood, throws herself at Hal, looking to wrap herself around him.

He accepts the hug and returns it, but he just saw her 20 minutes ago or so... didn't he?

And he really does not look happy.

Arisia kisses his cheek, "I missed you. What's wrong?"

"Howard, my nephew. Either they duplicated him, or they used him as a hostage."

He impatiently speaks to his ring.

"John, do you read me? How's Howard?"

He doesn't even notice the fact that she's missed him... after having been gone less than half an hour.

[elfinlantern]

Yeah. Hal gets like this sometimes. It is something Arisia has mostly gotten used to over the years. Carefully letting go of him, she heads over to where her Lantern is and prepares to charge her ring.

"I am chosen over all the rest
I must not fail when put to the test
Come what may,
come what might,
I am forever the servant of the Lantern's light."

Kyle can't help but smile a little bit when he sees Hal's face, but the angry expression there reminds him just how serious everything is. They are all business.

"Hal, its great to see you to. I'm alright, nothing a few hours of sleep and a Big Mac won't fix."

Her landing is less than graceful, her face is bloodied, and a few things are busted, but Kyle's here.

All is good.

"KYLE!!!!!!!!"

The smile immediately returns to Kyle's face when he sees Jade, only to be lost in a blur of motion as he rush over to her. His hand immediately reaching up to caress the side of her face, the concern evident on his face.

"Jenny, are you ok, what happened??"

"Oh, Kyle..." Her hug is tight enough to show that, while she's banged up, she's certainly fixable. "Are you all right? Oh, Kyle..." Whatever else she might want to say gets lost in a kiss. Several of them, in fact. She's not nearly as discreet as Hal with Arisia.

Kyle doesn't have time to answer before he gets buried, and then he forgets his answer. For a brief moment he forgets everything, even his own name. The only thing that matters is the extremely beautiful woman in his arms and he doesn't ever want to let her go.

She won't let him go, either. Nothing that happened before matters, all the worries are gone. They're together now, and everything will be fine. So, sobbing her little sentimental heart out, Jenny clings to Kyle, face buried in his chest, and lets everyone else figure out the next move.

Her head still hurts, but who cares?

Kyle doesn't let go, simple enjoying the sensation of hold her close and her head resting against him, but he looks around all business. They would get plenty of time to reconnect more fully in private. Right now he is angry, not only for what they did to him and Arisia, but they hurt his Jenny.

It was time to start doing something about it.
