Said they wanted to be superheroes, too. Grant told 'em to try getting bit by a radioactive spider. They weren't amused.

And just like that, she's got her arm around his shoulders, doing that almost casual lean against him that she does from time to time, lookign at them as well. Selina sniffs a bit. "That's what they paid for? Sloppy punches and weakeness on the left?"

She's teasing him, certainly.

Ted wraps his arms around the pretty lady.

"You know what's sad? This is improvement. Few weeks ago, Ma Hunkel could take 'em both down. Today? I'd only give her even odds. Maybe if they surprised her. Robin'd still wipe the floor with 'em."

"That is very, very sad." Selina shakes her head, chuckling softly at that, "There are plenty of days Robin could take me, though." Robin /is/ really good.

"Oh, no disrespect for the boy wonder, he IS good," but it would mortify these guys to get their butts handed to 'em by a kid like that."

He smiles at the thought.

"The real question is, though, are you ready to give me my weekly beating?" How she can ask questions like that, in that tone and still be entirely joking is anyone's guess. Ted's heard this stuff from her long enough that he knows better though.

"Maybe I'll get lucky and put you on the floor tday."

"Oh yeah. Let's just give these losers a moment more to embarss themselves until their time runs out."

One of their sloppy punches literally slides offf the other guy's face. The other guy actually sees the opportunity, and gives a jab to the stomach. It's almost good. Almost.

"Yeah. Just another minute. Y'know, had a girl at the bag the other day who reminded me of you when y'started here."

The fight disintegrates, the two boxers begin weakly slugging at each other -- their fists landing inefectually in blow after pathetic blow, until mercifully, the bell rings.

"All right, you two. Break it up! Bouts over. You two wanna stick around, you cna watch the only one'a my regulars that can take me try t'do it. You could pick up a few pointers."

Selina bounces a bit on the fronts of her feet, stretching out a bit more before she clibs into the ring.

The boxers look on in a mix of curiousity and mild belief that Grant thinks this chick is the only one around who can take him.

They've obviously missed their other training sessions.

Well, she isn't the /only/ one in the room that can take him and she knows it. It isn't even certain that she can take him. Bouncing from foot to foot, Selina limbers up a bit, waiting to begin.
