Waiting on the Watchtower
I hate waiting. I was horrible at it as a kid. Waiting to get big enough to start taking judo lessons. Waiting to get good enough to join the JSA. Waiting to get Mom's approval for taking up her mantle. Waiting to see Uncle Ted knock out another one before the third bell. Waiting for Mom or Dad to come home. Especially when the news was showing footage of the latest and scariest.
I got better at it. Sensei Otono helped. That hasn't made it any more enjoyable, just bearable.
Waiting and watching over Roy, praying that this would be the last time he threw up, or had the shakes, or screamed.
Waiting for Ollie's funeral to start, and end.
Now I'm waiting to hear what's going to happen to me and the guys. And the League.
