On the grounds of stately Wayne Manor

Aug 16, 2005 15:24

Mar'i Grayson has visited Wayne Manor only a few times since her arrival on this world. Perhaps that's why they still seem so unfamiliar to her. She is used to trees being bigger, more weeds, more shrubbery, more tangled vines and other signs of the neglect that had reigned over the grounds after Bane and Two-Face had destroyed her grandfather's mansion.

Still the flowers that continue to bloom in the August heat are beautiful, and she bends her head to sniff them. "They're very pretty," she says finally, "and they smell nice. Not like some flowers. I don't like flowers that smell like ... like nothing."
