Come fly with me....

Flight 1677 has been cleared to land, and the airplane, carrying a full load of passengers, begins its descent. The journey to Los Angeles has been smooth and uneventful, but the pilot and her crew stay watchful, having heard too many stories of landing catastrophes to relax.

Suddenly the air above LAX crackles, then cracks, and a dark-haired woman appears in front of the plane. Her face is filled with rage, and the pilot sits frozen for a few precious seconds, stunned by the sight ... and that is all the time she needs to charge at the plane, arm extended, fist at the ready.

Thank God the seat belt sign's already on, the pilot has time to think before she's trying to turn the plane, but too slow, too slow, this is a jumbo jet, not built for turning on a dime or even a half-dollar, and the dark-haired woman tears through the starboard wing as if it were paper. She vanishes before the wing section tumbles to the ground, but no one notices that--the frightened passengers are too busy trying to remember the safety lecture they ignored earlier, and the flight crew is scrambling to compensate.

"Mayday, mayday," goes the call to the tower. Emergency crews are scrambled, and the airport personnel frantically prepare for the worst.

It's not enough.

Later, when the plane has crashed, and the injured have been raced to a trauma center, and the families of the dead are being notified, the survivors who have been triaged as "stable" are interviewed as to what caused the crash.

"It was Wonder Woman," comes the answer again and again, in varying shades of disbelief. "Wonder Woman attacked our plane."
