Final Confrontation

Kathy knows what is coming. She knows Bane peeked under the mask while she was unconcious -- why else would he ask for all three of them now? Her father, Penguin, and Thorne -- she remains bound and held by Bane as she watches the three crime lords step into the room. And she knows that it's only moments until she's unmasked in front of her ( Read more... )

Penguin was, shockingly, late.

He blamed it entierly on Mr. Pine, who insisted that Sumerian numerology insisted that they get a frappachino from a certin overrated Java-peddler, in order to prevent certin disaster. They would have been later if he had not bludgeoned Pine into submission when he contracted a case of The Madness, insisting they had the wrong shop, as he forgot to carry a two.

Waddleing in, Penguin adjusted his hat, grinning. "Wak wak wak waah! Yes, the pretentious parsimonius pretender has been preyed apon, and now our prisoner will preach us a-" Penguin paused.

The little man was about halfway in, away from his fellow masters of crime-for about a second, leaping up in the air and landing, harshly, inbetween Thorn and Durlesque. His hat and monocle shaded the supervillain's features, but Penguin's umbrella shook wildly in his glove-guided hands. Flippers. Who knew?

It wasn't avian rage that came out of Cobblepot's mouth, though, as the little man looking up at the Batwoman. "...Kathleen?"

Thorne's eyes widen at this revelation, but he doesn't gasp in shock, nor does he snarl in anger.

He simply turns his steely glare over to his partner, cigar smoke billowing from his lips.

"You have anything to say about this, Duquense?"

"Kathy."

Carlton can't believe his eyes. The woman who had single-handedly destroyed his business... was his own daughter.

He turns and looks at his associates. What will they do? Will they blame him?

And what will they do to his daughter?

"Sweetheart...how could you do this to me, baby? Why??"

"It was easy, Daddy. You made it easy. You turn your house into a prison; your daughter into a prisoner; your wife died because she stood too close to you! You made this all happen, Daddy... this is all on you."

A look of despair crosses Duquesne's features for a moment. He turns around and puts his hand to his forehead.

"I can't believe you've been trying to destroy me. Screw trying. You've been destroying me..."

He feels weak in the knees, but won't let his comrades see it. They're already liable to turn on him at any moment...

Penguin's face is inscrutable. While never so dramatic as to "swear off feeling" or whatever some of the other costumed ninnys do, Penguin had a certin healthy respect for such a savage beast, and thus implyed the golden harness of busniess in all matters ( ... )

"MULTIPLE - !"

Thorne is NOT pleased to hear that... but it makes sense. For that matter, there could be multiple BatMEN as well. Multiple Robins, Multiple Batgirls...

His head starts to hurt immediatel, cigar smoke exhaling out his nose. "Do it now, Cobblepot. Let her and her friends know that it wouldn't have come to this if they hadn't gotten so stupidly involved."

"Oh, quite, kill her before finding out, kwaa, if her friends have bombs where we live in case she does not contact them in a few hours. Lovely plan, Rupe-" This is about when the pose below happens, and Penguin's reaction's-a there.

"No! Penguin, what are you doing??"

Duquesne moves forward, putting his hand out.

"Lay one hand on her and I'll kill you both!"
