Final Confrontation

Kathy knows what is coming. She knows Bane peeked under the mask while she was unconcious -- why else would he ask for all three of them now? Her father, Penguin, and Thorne -- she remains bound and held by Bane as she watches the three crime lords step into the room. And she knows that it's only moments until she's unmasked in front of her ( Read more... )

Penguin's face is inscrutable. While never so dramatic as to "swear off feeling" or whatever some of the other costumed ninnys do, Penguin had a certin healthy respect for such a savage beast, and thus implyed the golden harness of busniess in all matters.

After a second...two seconds, this would be no different, Penguin was sure. And there was an issue.

In a second, an umbrella is at Kathy's neck-everyone present can hear the sharp hum of the heat-based laser warning up. "I-kwaa-I believe the entire truth is not, kwaa, out. You do not posess the technological knowhow to create the Batwoman's devices, Kathleen. I would also hesitate to, kwaa kwaa!, mention the attack on the Iceburg, where you were situated quite comfortably in the front while the Batwoman was ransacking my equipment. There is only one conclusion: There are multiple Batwomen. We can, kweh, discuss reperations at a more fortified locale, but if you value, kwaa, human life, you will tell me what your associates's contingency plans are!" Penguin snarls at the bomb, so as to reinforce the point to his partners, and the ever mercutial Bane...finding himself a little angry at the entire concept. Whatever happened to tieing men up on lampposts with witty little cards? When did this become guriella warfare?

Well, the ruthless streak explains his fondness for the young woman, at least. But still. In Penguin's mind, The Batman's nonaffiliation with these Batwomen is now a fact: Batman is alot of things, indeed Penguin could write volumes of literature describeing the depravities and wrongdoings of his great foe, but the man has a sense of class, tradition! Bombs indeed.

"MULTIPLE - !"

Thorne is NOT pleased to hear that... but it makes sense. For that matter, there could be multiple BatMEN as well. Multiple Robins, Multiple Batgirls...

His head starts to hurt immediatel, cigar smoke exhaling out his nose. "Do it now, Cobblepot. Let her and her friends know that it wouldn't have come to this if they hadn't gotten so stupidly involved."

"Oh, quite, kill her before finding out, kwaa, if her friends have bombs where we live in case she does not contact them in a few hours. Lovely plan, Rupe-" This is about when the pose below happens, and Penguin's reaction's-a there.

"No! Penguin, what are you doing??"

Duquesne moves forward, putting his hand out.

"Lay one hand on her and I'll kill you both!"
