Something is fired, a high-pitched whirring sound follows, and then her feet leave the ground. For several terrifying seconds, they swing, and then he instructs, "Brace yourself." But the impact of landing in an alley near the hotel is aborbed by his legs entirely.

Nancy will be able to see the sleek outline of the Batmobile when she opens her eyes.

If.

*A strange, muffled scream sort of hisses through the scientist's clenched teeth -- the sound of someone trying REALLY hard not to scream and nearly succeeding. She doesn't open her eyes until her feet touch the ground, and even then she takes a few moments.*

Oh my God... that was ...

Wow.

*At first it seems she might be talking about the ride, but then it becomes evident she's talking about the car.*

Inwardly Bruce sighs. Chicks of all ages do love the car. "Locks," he says, and the car obediantly unlocks itself and the roof slides open to show the interior: two seats, one behind the other like a cockpit. "Get in."

*She does as she's told, without question -- it's obvious fixating on the car has become a coping mechanism to keep her from panicking.*

Wow ... this thing is ...

*She looks at the dashboard...*

This is custom built? I've never seen anything like this, and I've been in to the International Space Station.

Bruce Wayne would have said something about the local Batmobiles 'R Us Superstore, but Batman only grunts as he slides into the front seat. "Use the seatbelt."

That sounded like a warning.

*She's smart. She's figured out how this program works. She buckles up quickly, then holds her laptop to her chest, clutching it tightly.*

Good girl.

The Batmobile's engine fires up, rumbling powerfully beneath them before a burst of speed propels the vehicle into motion and traffic...quickly. Not a man to waste time is the Bat.

Glass slides between the driver and passenger, effectively sealing Nancy in a sound-proof chamber. Over the intercom Batman says only, "Relax," and then silence follows. She's not supposed to overhear what comes next, which is Batman giving a few contacts a call to see where he can stow the scientist. Selina Kyle is first on the list.

Selina's voice is a little distorted as she answers. It is hard to tell what it is from exactly. Sounds maybe like there might be a fight going on. Maybe. "Hello?" No. Apparently she didn't get a chance to look and see who was calling before she answered.

"I need a favor."

That should make his identity clear enough to the Cat.

"Oh?" Catwoman sounds like she's having a time of it at the moment. Though it sounds much more like a fight than anything else. One wonders how she managed to answer her cellphone. She's talented like that.

Batman frowns. "You okay?"

"Fine." There is a pause and the sound of something that sounds a lot like someone hitting the ground. "What do you need?" Is it strange that she's all business? Maybe. Maybe not. He's not normally one for concern on this side of things.

He's putting it out of his mind, really. Has to. For now. "I want to hide someone at your place. Civilian."

"Okay. When do you need me there?" Whatever was going on over there sounds as if it's been taken care of for the moment. "I can head back to my place now."

"When can you be there?"

Not that he needs her to let them in. He's as good at B&E as she.

Well... no.... but it is polite. She'd prefer not to meet this person, a woman she's assuming for various reason, in the costume. Selina is very, very tempted to ask her question again because when ever he needs her to be there, she'll be there. She could probably make it there in five but she'd be in severe risk of breaking something important.

"I'll be there in ten." That way she's not likely to do anything /too/ stupid to get there before him.
