Take me out
There are auditions happening somewhere else in the building. In fact, they're happening not too far from where Bette is right now. She's working on her vaulting. It isn't what she's known for at all. She's usually on the uneven bars - spinning and releasing, flying through the air and grabbing onto the bar at the last second to throw her in another direction only to do it again.
That isn't today, though.
Today is the power fo the vault. She throws herself down the path as fast as she can to punch the springboard and throw herself violently into twists and turns. The last one was not so successful in terms of landing but that felt good in a different way. The impact with the ground was a solid reminder of her limits.
She shouldn't be doing this without a spotter but that's never stopped her before.
