Mari had told him about this place called Chaney's in Metropolis. Ben, having an excess of free time on his hands, decided to go check it out. His flight to Metropolis was dull, predictable, and right on time. Probably helped that Ben travelled light.
Once in Metropolis - that shining beacon to safety and normality - he flagged down a cab and had them take him to just the right spot. Again, nice and safe and boring.
Just the way it should be, but it was probably fairly telling that Ben felt off his game. Edgy. Paranoid, even.
Still, the place didn't look like much from the outside but dive bars rarely did.
