The holidays were over *thank god* and life for our Brazilian model of the green flame was returning to something resembling normalcy. No more lectures from old friends about being alone during the holidays. No more helping young men in love find gifts for other women. Just her, a glass of tonic and lime, her laptop and a corner table in what's becoming her favorite bar ever. The bartender didn't flirt with her more than was necessary, but he was friendly, sarcastic and gayer than Christmas. Just how she likes them these days.
She took her time with the webcam tonight, feeling a bit lazy and not caring at all. Still, her paying customers expected a little more from her than what she could give in a public place so eventually she stretches her arms high over her head before closing the laptop and gathering her things to go home.
"About that time, cutie?"
She shoots a smirk to the bartender as she stands up, everything stowed nicely away in her carry case.
"Gotta pay the bills, Chris. See ya tomorrow."
Friendly waves and blown kisses are exchanged before she walks out the door and onto the Gotham streets, completely content with her life at the moment. She pauses briefly to get her iPod hooked up and going then hums along as she continues on her way home.
