Bette is on the roof.

It is one of those places, y'know?

A good place for thinking and looking and just... being.

Lilith leaves the bag inside and wanders out to join Bette. The roof is one of her favorite places as well. Something about being in the world rather than just being on it.

As Lilith joins her, Bette slips an arm around the other woman's waist, leaning into her somewhat.

An arm comes to rest across Bette's shoulders. Lilith leans in return, dropping her head to the side. Red hair mingles with blonde hair.

Bette nods, squeezing Lilith's hand back in return.

"Can you talk about it or is it a big secret?"

The smile is creeping back onto her face.

The reality of Titans East is nothing more than an idea and a conversation held in the midst of a wedding reception. It isn't her place to speak of it openly. Not yet.

"Not a big secret. Just..." She looks for the right words. "Some family business that can't wait. I'll be back on the 12th for the day. You and I have a date."

"Do we?"

There is a small, but very true, smile at that. "What are we doing?"

It's sort of like a story or something. She has no idea why being with Lilith makes her feel like a little kid in some ways. Where as Lilith being able to read thoughts makes a lot of people more uncomfortable, it allows Bette to act as she'd really like. No facade and sometimes that means she seems very, very young.

It's one of the many reasons Lilith is so fond of her.

"You and I have reservations at the San Francisco Tennis Club," she states.

It's only the largest tennis recreational facility on the west coast.
