(no subject)
Work continues to get more interesting. Last few days I've been making more art for the math text books. Today we are pouring pages (I still think that is an odd term for it. I like laying out pages better, but that might just be how I learned it) in the same project. The thing about this project is that it is all new. The templates have been made, but not tested. So that means that the way something is set up isn't necessarily the best way to do it. So I have the leave to change how styles/objects are used. Normally this would be done by one person, and then handed off. But there is so much and the deadline is coming up that I'm doing this testing pahse at the same time as other people. Every once in a while we get together and discuss how we are doing things. And then we decide on a way and make that a process. I'm dreading being told we have to go back and fix up the pages that are already done when a procedure changes. Maybe they will just let it go for now.
Last night at volleyball was fun. We won all three, but the other team wasn't as good as us. I was hitting and serving really well. It still amazes me that I can jump so high and spike it so hard, since I consider myself a short guy. At least for a hitter. After the game Ben and I went to watch one of the gay teams play in the straight league. They got trounched, but apparently are doing better than last year. Wish I had acted fast enough to get on that team. Oh well, the night off will be good. And I said I'd sub.
I found out last night that some of the girls in my HP slash game are a bit intimidated with playing with a real live gay boy. Something about having more practical knowledge about how things "work." I was amused, cause most everyone I play with is a better writter than I, IMO. I guess sicne my first game was all girls cept me, I'm used to it.
This weekend is pretty free with just some working (maybe). I think I'll try to get my pictures hung in the living room. Maybe actually work on some drawing/comics. Clean a bit. Maybe farmer's market too. Maybe get some Heros in. Cause after that series I have The 4400 season 3, Queer As Folk season 4 and Weeds season 1 lined up. Need to watch some of those before I buy more DVDs.
I thought about starting the garden plot I want to have, but I don't know I have that much time for it. Maybe just a small one? But that'd mean buying edging bricks, dirt, making the plot, buying plants and then planting them. Then the watering and weeding that has to be done the rest of the season. And it might be too late to plant. Might call mom and see what she thinks.
