Stayed up late last night to watch the
Ottawa Senators play the Vancounver Canucks in some NHL hockey. They lost to the Canucks 5-1, in a game that wasn't even close.
What I don't understand about the Senators is that ever since the end of the Olympic break, the team just doesn't have the mojo that allowed it to win 14 of 16 games prior to the break. The offense and goal production seems to have disappeared, but the goaltending hasn't been too bad. Except that the team hasn't played well defensively, and coupled with the lack of goal scoring, it's very tough to win games that way. That wonderful point lead they had in the Eastern standings has pretty much evaporated after this disastrous road trip, and I suspect that any chance they have of catching up to the Buffalo Sabres has gone the way of the dodo (unless Buffalo has a total team collapse). *sigh*
This morning, well, what with the late night and the change over to Daylight Savings Time (DST), I am just pretty tired. The croissant and coffee this morning has helped a little bit, though. :)
