R.I.P. David Eddings (1931-2009)
In the news today, more sad news about an sf and fantasy writer.
David Eddings Dead at Age 77
While I can honestly say that I was very fond of Eddings' Belgariad and Malloreon series of books, I really had no fondness for any of the later Eddings stuff at all. There are many reasons for my dislike of the remainder of his books, which I will not go into here, but suffice it to say that I've not read an Eddings book in a good five years or more (and even that book was in my To Read Queue (TRQ) for several years). That said, I am sad about this loss for the sf and fantasy community, and wish the family well.
