RPGaDay2024 in August - August 24th: Advice
We continue on today with #RPGaDay2024 for August.
Day 24 - Acclaimed Advice
I've received a lot of advice, both good and bad, about running roleplaying games over the 45+ years that I've been gaming. I think the best advice I ever received was from a fellow running games at the Carleton University gaming club where I played for several years, Robert "Robby" Hirsch. He told me that running a game with a group of players was not an "Us versus the GameMaster" situation - it was actually about a GameMaster and his or her players telling an interactive story where *everybody* wins.
Words I've tried to live by in every game I've run since then.
And there you have it, my thoughts on this twenty-fourth day of #RPGaDay for August, 2024.
