Civic Holiday (Colonel By Day) Thoughts

Aug 05, 2024 08:49

It's Monday, the civic holiday here in Canada. Colonel By Day, officially (in Ontario).

The weather is somewhat cooler today, currently around 19oC and going up to around 23-24oC. Will be a bit muggy still, but nowhere near as hot and humid as it's been most of the summer so far. I'm feeling somewhat out of sorts today, to be honest, as I am hurting quite a lot on the right side of my body, mostly my right shoulder and the right hip/leg area. I'm a bit groggy after getting only about 3 hours of sleep or so again last night, and will be starting a slightly higher dose of Gabapentin today.

I have no real plans for the day, to be honest, and not sure what I'm going to do for the day. Likely watch a bit of tv, catch up on some reading, maybe watch some DVDs, and the like. Not really wanting to work on any rpg stuff today, to be honest, though there's some research I do want to do on some gaming-related subjects. And I have to change the bed linens at some point today.

Hope my friends and everyone living in Canada have a great day. (Remember to keep practicing safe behaviour by wearing a mask and engaging in social distancing if you feel like it today, in light of the fact that the COVID-19 not-a-pandemic is picking up steam again.) And the rest of the folks out there, too, of course. :)
