It's Friday. The second Friday in May.
This means it's exactly one week until
CanGames, 2024, the local gaming convention to be held at the Rideau Curling Club here in Ottawa on the long Victoria Day weekend (March 17th to the 19th). This will be the first CanGames that I've attended since 2019, as the convention was not held in 2020 through 2022 due to COVID-19 concerns and a diabetic ulcer on my left foot prevented me from going when the convention was held last year in 2023. As the convention has gotten closer, I'm a little bit (more) apprehensive and panicky about going to the
CanGames this year, as I've got a health issue that I'm dealing with and several Real Life(tm) things that I'm dealing with. Nothing that will keep me from the convention.
Anyway, I'll be running three games at the convention this year, two sessions of the
Rivers of London: The Roleplaying Game ("Fairycakes" and "The Bookshop") and one session of the
Doctor Who Roleplaying Game ("The Ruins of Skaro"). For more information about the games, check the
CanGames website, or see the
previous post about CanGames in which I discuss the games I'll be running at the convention. I don't know how many folks are pre-registered to play in the games I'll be running at the convention, but since pre-registration is now closed, potential players will be able to sign up to play in the games at the convention itself. I'm quite looking forward to running the three games at the convention! :)
I'm quite looking forward to attending
CanGames, 2024 this year, seeing old friends, making new friends and acquaintances, running some adventures, and just having a good weekend of gaming.
Look forward to seeing folks next weekend! :)
