It has been a very atypical end of December day today here in Ottawa. The sun was out for a bit, but there was a good deal of rain during the middle of the day and the temperature seems set to be a record with a high of 9oC! Still, I'm staying indoors. My right shoulder, upper back and arm are hurting quite a lot, and for the moment I've got the right arm in a sling.
I'll be gaming with the Friday night gaming group this evening; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. I'm looking forward to it. We'll still be taking health precautions this evening, of course, as everyone wants to game but knows we have to play it safe in this time of COVID-19 and the seventh (or is it the eighth?) wave of the Omicron variant of the virus.
Tonight, the Friday night gamers will once more be starting up their campaign of the
Coriolis - The Third Horizon RPG, billed as "the Arabian Nights in space" but actually a science fiction roleplaying game set in a remote cluster of star systems called The Third Horizon. It's a game very much focused around non-traditional sf settings and is very much influenced by Middle Eastern materials and atmosphere. I'm quite looking forward to the game this evening. :)
In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make something light, but hot, for supper.
Have a good evening, folks. :)
