Friday Night Gaming Session Cancelled

Dec 16, 2022 16:42

Today is Friday.

I was supposed to game this evening with the Friday players tonight.

That isn't going to happen. The city of Ottawa and the Ottawa valley has been the target of a massive snow storm since last night, the first real blizzard of the winter season. As of this moment, Mother Nature has dumped some 25 centimetres of snow on the city and the surroundings, and it's still snowing out there as I write this. I can't really see beyond the area of where I live here, but the snow is piling up quite badly. I had spoken to the players from the Friday night group last night, and it was decided then. So gaming is off tonight.

I was quite looking forward to gaming with the Friday night players this evening, as I was going to start running the Coriolis - The Third Horizon RPG again, but that's not happening due to the weather. Rather sad about that, but such is life. Just have to look forward to running the game at the next regularly scheduled session.

Oh, well.

Update on Saturday @ 8:00am: In retrospect, it was a good decision not to game last night. Aside from the weather, the power in the Gloucester-Southgate area went out around 5:30pm Friday night, and didn't come back on until some time around 11:30pm. The house was pretty cold by the time the power came back on.
