Another typical, somewhat blustery day for early October today. It was somewhat sunny, more cloudy than sun-filled, quite breezy, with a temperature of around 13oC for the day. I've felt somewhat ill most of the day (and most of the week, if the truth is worth anything), but my body seems to have recovered somewhat this afternoon. The pinched nerve is still bothering me, and I'm having some pretty bad foot pain as well.
I'll be gaming with the Friday night gaming group this evening; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. I'm looking forward to it. We'll still be taking health precautions this evening, of course, as everyone wants to game but knows we have to play it safe in this time of COVID-19 and the seventh (or is it the eighth?) wave of the Omicron variant of the virus. Everyone wants to game, but knows we have to play it safe in this time of the continuing pandemic.
Tonight, the Friday night gamers will be starting their campaign of the
Vaesen - Nordic Horror Roleplaying RPG, a Gothic horror roleplaying game set in a mythic Scandinavia sometime in the mid-1800s. The players will be creating their characters and hopefully going through some basic mechanics and sample combats for the game in a Session 0 game session. I'm quite looking forward to the game this evening. :)
In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make something light, but hot, for supper.
Have a good evening, folks. :)
