Getting Ready for Friday Night Gaming
It's been a brutally hot couple of days here in Ottawa, and today was no exception. The temperatures here reached 32oC today, though it was at least a dry heat. Lots of sunshine as well. I'm still somewhat ill with the bronchitis, but the second antibiotic has started to take effect (though it's been wreaking havoc on my bowels), and I suspect I've also got allergy problems at the moment as well.
I talked with the Friday night players, and they've all agreed that we'll be gaming this evening and see how things go with my health and my voice once more. So I'll be gaming with the Friday night gaming group this evening; the players should be arriving within the next hour or so. I'm looking forward to it. With the rise in the number of cases of the Omicron variant COVID bug (and the reduction in restrictions and some of the mandates), the Friday night gamers want to play this evening, but we'll be taking the appropriate health precautions tonight as the group decides on when they get here, as per usual. I'll likely wear a mask gaming this evening and whether the players do so as well will be a game time decision. Everyone wants to game, but knows we have to play it safe in this time of the continuing pandemic. And our own ongoing health concerns.
Tonight, the Friday night gamers will continuing on with their Atlantis: The Second Age campaign and this terrific sword & sorcery rpg. Quite looking forward to this. :)
In the meantime, I need to go upstairs and make some supper.
