CanGames Cancelled for 2022

Sad news on the gaming front here in Ottawa.

The local gaming convention, CanGames, that is usually held here in Ottawa the long Victoria Day weekend in May, has been cancelled for this year once more. The folks from the convention posted to Twitter (and presumably to another couple of sites, but not the CanGames webpage noted above for some

I've noticed that most of the independent conventions have cancelled again this year. The big corporate ones are going ahead because capitalism above all else I guess.

I miss conventions but I can't bring myself to go to the bigger ones yet and the smaller ones are doing the smart thing.
