It's Still Dark Outside...

Dec 09, 2021 04:46

It's 4:45 am. It's still dark outside.

I really hate getting up at this godsforsaken time of the morning. But I have to be at the hospital for 6:45 am this morning.

Today, I'm undergoing a hip biopsy at the Ottawa General Hospital around 7:15 am or so. I've had biopsies before, but I'm really not looking forward to this one as it's probably going to hurt quite a bit, both during and afterwards, and I've been told that I may be off my feet for the rest of today and much of tomorrow. I know that I need to have the biopsy done but that doesn't make me any less scared (actually terrified), and since there's no one to go with me to the hospital, wait around, and stay with me, makes it even worse. Have I mentioned that I hate and have a phobia about hospitals?

This is going to be a very bad, very emotional day.

I hate getting up in the dark of morning. :(
