Still Suffering COVID-19 Vaccine Effects, and Thoughts

Jul 10, 2021 10:02

I have not been well since I had my second COVID-19 vaccine shot on Tuesday. (That was four days ago.)

I had the shot on Tuesday, the 6th.

The sore arm at the site of the injection, the neck pain, and the headache persisted into the 7th, and I felt very tired and lethargic for much of the time. I suspect that I had a low-grade fever at some point during the day, and don't really remember all that much of it. I woke up on the morning of the 8th, and had terrible bowel movements (diarrhea) around 5:30am, and felt quite nauseous and dizzy. I went back to bed, and woke up again around 8:30am. The symptoms that I'd had were all still there, but I was soaked to the skin as well. I took my temperature and it was just over 100 degrees F. Not good. My fever stayed about the same for the rest of the day, and I started to cough somewhat. The fever went down later in the afternoon, but I still felt achy and had chills. And the cough started to get worse. Friday, the 9th, I woke up from the coughing, and it was somewhat difficult to breathe and my chest hurt, though I attributed this to either the vaccine side effects or the fact that on Monday I had been at a Retina Centre for my eyes where the a/c was pumping cold air to the max. (I am prone to sinus and bronchial infections during the summer from trips in and out of a/c environments.)

Today, Saturday, I feel a bit better but still have the cough (not too bad if I don't talk and don't move around too much), and the chest pain and difficulty breathing are still there. Not feverish at all, but my head still hurts as does my neck, and the injection site still hurts somewhat.

There's stuff I have to do today, but if I still feel this badly on Monday, I'm going to see if I can get through to my doctor. Not going to go to the hospital if I can avoid it. Probably just a case of bronchitis, maybe bronchial pneumonia, but better err on the side of caution.
