Praying I Don't Have the Flu

Oct 28, 2019 23:56

It is official. I am sick.

I've been feeling off my game for several months, to be honest, since I had the colonoscopy back in mid-July.

However, on Sunday (still yesterday, right?), despite the blustery, cold and very wet (you can read that as very rainy) weather, I went out to run some errands (most of which turned out to be a bust). While we were travelling back from the Comic Shoppe towards the Dunn's where we were going to have lunch, I suddenly realized that I had a very sore throat. It worried me a little bit, but I had other things to think of and figured that lunch at Dunn's, including nice, hot soup, would help.

Anyway, I slept very poorly on Sunday night, with only about 3-1/2 hours of sleep. My foot and leg pain were very bad, not helped by the walking and the cold/damp weather, but I also had bad phlegm, a cough and the aforementioned sore throat. I woke up this morning feeling absolutely rotten, but had some stuff to do around the house (change linen, do laundry, take out the garbage for the week) though I'd rather have spent the day in bed and stayed warm.

So it's now 11:55pm on Monday night. And I am very, very sick. Blocked head, green phlegm, hacking cough, and aching pains everywhere. Not to mention bowel stuff. I really hope that this is ague, and not the flu. I'm gonna try and get a bit of rest now, but we'll see...

Bah, humbug! Meh.
