It's the 1st of August. A new month.
I have to say that I'm quite relieved for the most part. While the first six months of 2014 weren't exactly great for me, the month of July passed without any real incidents happening, and my health was pretty much as it's been for the last little while, with a few days where I felt much better for various reasons. One of the highlights of July was that I got to actually play in games on both Friday and Sundays, Nick running
Hollow Earth Expedition on Friday nights and
spross running
Atlantis: The Second Age on Sunday afternoons. Both are still running, this weekend's game sessions the likely end of the scenarios that they're running. In the meantime, I've been running
Atlantis: The Second Age on two Wednesday nights of this past month on a new gaming group that may or may not last, depending on the players. That remains to be seen, but I've had a lot of fun keeping my hand in GMing while still getting to play games. This has been the ultimate gaming experience for me, and I wish that it would continue for some time to come, but alas, all good things must come to an end. :) In the meantime, without having to do a lot of work on the games I'm usually running during the month, I've had a good amount of time to read and watch some DVDs and the like, and have done so.
As for August, well... There's a couple of doctor appointments ahead of me this month, including footcare, and I'm having a CT scan of my head and the left side of the upper body to see if the head/ear/neck problems I've had the past 26 months can be figured out. I'm just taking the month day-by-day, and am going to try and relax and not stress over stuff as much as I can. I plan to keep watching and catch up on some DVDs and some book reading, and will have to get back to planning and plotting game adventures for the stuff I'm running.
But for now, back to work.
