Catch-Up Meme: the sleepy state of JJ
Here's my answers to my own catch-up prompt. Feel free to jump on the catch-up bandwagon, here or on Tumblr or anywhere you like.
So what have you been up to?
This last year has been a bit of a blur. Some major upheavals happened and tossed my brain all around but things are looking up, or steady, or whatever rocking chair motion my brain likes best.
Major life changes? Same old same old?
Had a baby! She's three weeks old now, and amazing, and also purple hulks out over the tiniest upset so that's been interesting.
Quit my job to go work at a bakery write books. !
What fandom are you in/do you spend most of your time in?
I am fandomless! I get fandom osmosis by watching whatever goes by on Tumblr, but I'm not actively consuming or participating anywhere. The closest I come is Marvel stuff, especially the ladies, having my heart trampled by Hannibal, and waiting with crazy eyes for the X-Files reboot.
Where do you hang out online?
Twitter mostly (jjtaylor) and Tumblr (same) though I'm not an active poster there. I miss blogging so I'm thinking about doing that more at some combination of fannish and RL name associated spots.
What are you reading?
The Raven Cycle! Starting Blue Lilly, Lilly Blue today. The last two Castle books I've missed, the new Laurue R King, and then....idk, I welcome your recommendations.
00Q fic because I had a weird urge for it. Browsing my list of "to listen to" podfic, esp the long stuff. Should I confess I recently read a ton of Gryles? Should I give in to
ataratah and read hockey fandom?

Hannibal, X-Files season 3, Orphan Black, waiting for Miss Fisher season 3.
What are you making?
The next vampire detective story. The aforementioned books: stories about exorcists and queer lady mobsters and cop/ art thief romances with
femmequixotic and epic sci fi poly trilogies about mind sharing science bros.
What are you squeeing about today?
All the new vids from Vividcon. YOUR BUCKY.
If you could rope old fandom friends into a new fandom, it would be.....
I'd rather you rope me into your new fandom. I am all eyes and ears!
I should really watch/read/dive into _______ and then come talk to you about it!
Hannibal. I know it's not for everyone but it is some distressingly beautiful storytelling.

Laundry, humid summer walks, hours of Star Trek: TNG ambient bridge noise. Orange poppies, even more orange nasturtiums. Longing for hiking in Utah. Josh Ritter's new single. FORTUNE FAVORS THE BRAVE. The usual.
