I brought home a book for K, who has been pondering turning an awkward part of our front lawn into a more landscaped area with less grass, mostly because it's a bitch to maneuver the lawn mower around the existing plantings. While we're packing lunches and unloading the dishwasher, I told her I'd brought home this new book called "No-mow gardens"

Oh man, the thought of no-mow gets me ALL HOT UNDER THE COLLAR. I spent SO MUCH of my summer mowing/weedwhacking the grass in the aisles between my garden rows. I mixed it with clover, which helps? But then I have to keep the clover out of my veggies. What's the verdict, then? HOW DO YOU GET AWAY WITH NOT MOWING? O________O
