The Max/Logan chemistry has taken a flying leap from subtext to longing gazes and unspoken conversations. I just watched 411 on the DL and OMG. Their scene at the end of the episode was incredible, with the rain and their reflections, and their - was that banter? Add to that Logan trying desperately to turn off the answering machine when his ex-wife calls? Love.

I am listening to Laurie King's O Jerusalem on tape. I've resisted the Russell series audio books thus far solely because I have a very strong Russell voice in my head and I've been worried the narrator's interpretation would conflict with that. In fact, that's turned out to be true: the narrator's voice is a lot more that of an adult Russell looking back than the present-tense-of-the-story Russell I have in my head, but it's not as annoying as I'd at first expected. However, the narrator's Holmes voice is brilliance beyond belief, and her tight, inflection-rich Holmes voice saying, "Yes, Russell?" made me go all wavy hands driving home from my errand at CVS.

Further installments of things they don't teach you in library school: How to keep a straight face while repeating the title of the book you have just renewed when the title in question is, Minnie and Moo and the Potato from Planet X. Additionally, how to keep your dignity when you need to say this title more than five times in a row because the patron isn't paying attention and other patrons are lining up in front of your station and smirking at you.

I made a pot of cinnamon hazelnut coffee this morning, and I'm trying not to drink the entire thing while I work on my xmmficathon story. We'll see how that goes.

*wavy hands*, fiction on paper, eyes only, things they don't teach you
