sweet and plain unsingable name

I went to look at another condo this morning, and woe, it is so very small and so very expensive. I mean, it was cute with these lovely sloped ceilings and a brand new kitchen with a washer/dryer all-in-one thingy, but I could hardly fit half the furniture I have now into that space and I am certainly not living in a mansion of an apartment. And also, it is not worth the price for under 700 square feet, and that includes the world's most narrow hallway.

I probably should not have watched six episodes of Alias in a row, because the end of season 3 is now a blur of unconscious Nadia, Vengeance!Vaughn, and Katya Derevko. About halfway through, I got very tired of Vaughn versus Lauren - I'm glad he got to shoot her eventually and I'm glad he also got to visit Jack's Bunker of Untraceable Weapons, but the blind hunt for vengeance got old fast. I wish there had been more of Jack relating to Vaughn, although the scenes we did get were excellent, especially where Jack explains to Sydney how he's been where Vaughn is now and he doesn't want Vaughn ending up like him.

I don't really have any solid theories about how season 3 was really all some orchestrated secret project between Jack and Katya and Sloane and whoever else. I still really think Sloane is evil, though I love that Jack brought Sloane back from the near-dead to tell him he needs him. I'm not feeling all that warm towards Nadia, and I don't have a lot of sympathy for Syd in the end scene with the black-light secret documents, even though I'm sure I'm suppsoed to. Sydney's naivete continues to baffle me - I don't know why she's surprised that people keep secrets from her, that they use her. You'd think after meeting Irina, she'd realize that not everything's quite so much about good guys and bad guys.

I also watched Pangs, a mystery episode from Buffy season 4 which I'd somehow never seen before. It was completely hilarious and even seasonally appropriate - Buffy trying to have a perfect Thanksgiving, Spike getting shot full of arrows while tied to a chair, Angel showing up in town and everyone asking if he's evil again. Angel: "I haven't been evil for a long time."

This afternoon, I'm going to make an apple bundt cake, go for a walk while it's still bright and sunny out, start O, Jerusalem, and try to stick to my outline for the Remus/Tonks. We'll see what actually happens.

what's my counter mission?, grind our enemies into talcum powder
