I am in love with hp_dungeons. Have I said that recently? It's true.
minervacat made my lovely icon, as well as a few other new additions to my hoard. She also has put West Wing quotes in my head ("Mirabella needed to know what wine was being served with the fish course, so it's a good thing I went to school for 22 years." and "We've got separation of powers, checks and balances, and Margaret, vetoing things and sending them back to the Hill!") and it makes me wonder if my love for this show really ever went away. I must remind myself of the Big Breakup and the Ensuing Heartbreak - or else I'm going to fall for this show all over again, until the day when, inevitably, it shatters my heart into a million piece, just like it did before.
I'm so flattered and pleased by the lovely feedback I've received from you all about the Remus/Bran story. Maybe I just thought it was one of those stories no one else but phineasjones and a few others would read - but I'm so glad to see people reading and liking it.
I watched "Into the Woods" this morning, the episode from Buffy Season Five where Riley is helicoptered out of the series. I feel like there's a post to be written about romantic relationships and the horrible ends they meet in the Jossverse - I mean about the unique way in which Joss rips apart relationships, usually just at the moment when it seems like everything's going to be ok.
There's this line in the Belle and Sebastian song Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying - I could kill you sure, but I could only make you cry with these words - that always struck me as, 1. true, and 2. something that Joss would have written on a scrap of paper and taped across the front of his computer monitor.
