Battlestar Galactica - So very good. Valley of the Shadow - OMG Starbuck.

Stargate Atlantis - intriguing, and I'm no longer watching just because it's before BSG.

Alias, halfway through Season 1 - Eeeeeee! Sloane is a master manipulator. And I continue to love Sydney, despite the moments where she's completely naive - because it's an ( Read more... )

Oh? Where? do you have any favorites you would rec? I think I'm on the verge of a new fandom, and the fanfic might be the thing to tug me in.

MMWD's recs are a great starting point. Of these, I particularly like: everything by Resonant, particularly Abstain and Advantage (oh, hell, everything, really); most things by Shalott (astolat), although Trancendental didn't thrill me as much as it seems to have most people, but do read Oblivious, and, well, everything; Julad's Absurdity Theory; Verb, Transitive (and most other stories) by Kageygirl; Letters by Kylielee.

Also, Fabula Rasa's brand new Rodney McKay and the Hot-Blooded Pilot (NC17 Sheppard/McKay, cute tribute, no spoilers for HBP), and Naming of Parts which is a Ford gen ficlet.

And, um, my maiden SG:A story will probably be finished and posted by sometime next week.

Two things:

My West Wing S2 DVDs came this weekend, so I just watched ITSOTG for the very first time (I saw the rest of the season when it aired, but missed the opening), and OMG. Just Oh. My. God.

...and the creep-factor of Simon/Dawn Sean Maher and Michelle Trachtenburg as lovers...

AHHHHHHH! *runs screaming from the room*

OMG, you've never seen ITSOTG before? Oh my god. Those two episodes are just pure brilliance. Incredibly moving.

AHHHHHHH! *runs screaming from the room*

Yeah, I'm still not over that. I couldn't stop watching, because Sean Maher's mouth and....but.....the rest was creepycreepy.
