The source of Tonks' rather mind-bending behavior throughout HBP can be chased back to her unrequited love, sure, a little bit. But think of her extreme incredible awful towering tower of guilt if she thinks Sirius' death is her fault.

Finally! Something that makes sense! I could believe that. It seemed like JKR was being misleading about Tonks being upset over Sirius and then trying to suprise with the R/T bit at the end. That way, it sort of blends the two ideas together.

Though I hate to think of Remus and Sirius being so miserable before he's gone again. And I do adore all of the stories where he comes back out of the veil and they are happy again. However, I suppose one can only write that so many times.
