A new fic, you've been busy! Wonder how this will go since neither one of them got their wish, which is a good thing.

And more fic to come, yay! Any chances that If I Ever See You Again will be updated soon too?

Ok, that was gorgeous. I can barely think of any post rainbo Bridge AU's that are actually long. Delving into the psyche of those two after the event should be interesting.
I also like the altered, very descriptive style you're using here. Sort of a mix between your longer fics and the style you employed with Truths, right?

*blushes*
I'm glad you like it!
This had born in a rather messy way.
In the original project it should have been something similar to Truth with Seishiro being the one who survived to the killing blow (actually I wrote one page of it). Then, somehow, I opened another Word file and began writing how Subaru survived at it.
In the first mental draft there should have been long chapters but when I began typing they turned out as short fragment of them. I considered adding bridges but somehow I liked the fragment structure more. It... matched with the state the guys are and, I hope, put more emphasis on the moment they're living not on the whole routine of their life.
After all in itself the plot woulf be rather boring if I've to tell in details how Subaru's confined to be in silence and how Seishiro's sitting next to him chattering of only God know what...
This way I also hope their feelings would stand out more...
In short... it's another experiment as truth was... :P

Me too! But CLAMP are just so cruel...
Besides... don't cheer up yet... things might change.

That's very sweet. Seishirou was being a bit nicer than I would have imagined, but then, he had just had rather a big shock. In 'Connection' I was surprised that Seishirou hadn't shaved that day. For him to be anything less than perfectly groomed, 'Clearly, this is serious,' I thought. XD

With Subaru's death Seishiro would have had ripped from him his lifetime goal 'being killed by Subaru'.
Not mentioning he would have been left alone without Subaru. Not that he was doing much with Subaru but... he still had him, somewhere in Tokyo and he liked that.
He hasn't figured out yet why he wanted Subaru to kill him, why he doesn't want Subaru to die but the idea he was about to mess up without any chance to fix the mistake had put him upside down.
Basically he feels like a child who's afraid to be abandoned in a mess which is why he's clinging to Subaru, refusing to let go and why he's being nice to him in hope this will allow him to have things his way.
Also Subaru's injury wasn't a joke. It hadn't killed him but for a long while it might have as well do it. It's truly a miracle he had survived that long...
