Toys for Tots
On Saturday I did my first Toys for Tots event. It was so much fun! First off it started at noon, which was MUCH better than it starting earlier, I actually got to sleep, and we had such a great turn out with the troopers and the people! I met some incrediable kids. One kid really touched my heart. She was turning 14 on that day and she had happened to be driving by with her mom and sisters and they saw the troopers and stopped. Aparently she had been in the hospital during one of the 501st visits. She remember R2-KT from the visit. KT was there so she was able to be reunited with the droid. The look on her face just was...wow. Such a sweet girl.
Anyway, we had an awesome time. Got tons of toy donations and we even got busted by mall security for halting traffic on the side of the road! lol. I really hope I get to do another TFT event!
