Well, here I am in Las Vegas, with 2 days to go on Games Expo. The show has alternated between intense frustration and smooth sailing, so I guess it's all balanced out in the end. ::wry smile:: I must say that I'm not too impressed with Vegas...it's very tacky. Nothing seems genuine here, it's all calculatingly designed to dazzle and impress, and to part people from their money. I did have some fun doing karaoke at Ellis Island on Monday night (apologies to those who got random texts from me!), but I don't anticipate anything more exciting than going back to my hotel room for sleep the rest of the nights. I'm pretty fagged out from two shows back to back, and I'm *definitely* looking forward to being home! Made some good friends this time out (Julian from Atomic Comics, and Jeremy from InQuest), and caught up with some others I hadn't seen in a while (the folks at Rackham, Tablestar, Paizo, and Upper Deck). And I got to meet Tamara, who was my ACD rep when I ran the Game Wizard! She's a sweetie, it was a pleasure to meet her and her husband in the flesh.
I get back on Friday, and I'm looking forward to a couple days of food from Madison Market and lots of CSI: Miami. Hee! See you all soon.
Pleasant somethings!
