On the up-side, I'm writing again! I think the turn of spring has shaken off the lingering winter depression. Hurrah! Job hunt Monday. Whoo.

Today's English Lesson: The difference between to rise and to raise (besides the single letter).

To rise is to move upwards. The sun rises.

To raise is to cause to rise. Raise your hand.

In relation to fanfiction (because a single fic raised/gave rise to the issue):
