A quick check-in
I am...still alive. I'm going to be working on writing more here - just downloaded Semagic, since I'd been previously updating from the site itself. It was getting annoying to do so, and for the most part I tend to forget things are there unless they're right in front of me. So, now it's in front of me and I can update. Perhaps I won't let things build up so much in my head, now.

Today is Rhi's birthday, she's 11 now. Hard to believe sometimes, she's still not very big. I don't think she'll ever be, especially compared to her sister...
I have a double-layer cake to bake today. I'll be putting it together tomorrow, since there's no room in the refrigerator for it. Here's hoping most of it gets eaten. Also making swiss steak tonight.
I'm out of diet coke, I should get some before my head pops off and starts spinning.
Shane still isn't employed. He'll be starting college Winter term, so that's something to look forward to, but not having an income makes me edgy.
I've noticed that a lot of people seem to have wandered away from LJ...perhaps Facebook and Twitter have lessened the need for long, in-depth posting?
