So last night was the end of Passover and we decided to go to Betty's Wok and Noodle to break it. (Wok wok wok!) :-) I checked ahead of time and saw that their was a BSO concert last night and I remembered that Betty's gets very hard to get into when there's something happening at the symphony hall. So, I called to make a reservation. First they said they were totally booked, then they said we could make a reservation for 8:00. OK...
We get there just before 8 and there were only around 6 tables with people at them. The place was empty. Booked indeed! So, obviously, we sat down immediately and I ordered some of those yummy curried onion rings. Right after we ordered those, they turned the music WAY up and turned the lights WAY down so that we could barely see the menu and had to strain to hear ourselves. Grrr...
So, after we were already done half the onion rings, someone finally came back to take our dinner order. We all ordered a noodle bowl with rice noodles. After 10 minutes, the waiter comes back and tells us that they're out of rice noodles. Aaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Pout.
Well, I don't know if this has anything to do with the non-rice noodles they forced on us, but I had such a strange dream last night. I don't think I'll go into detail in case it accidentally convinces you that I need to seek help, but, suffice it to say, it involved my eyes, new and inventive ways to eat corn on the cob, and some guy who was my grandfather in the dream but who I'm fairly sure wasn't actually one of my grandfathers. Weird!
