Hello, if there's anyone still out there that reads my stuff... you can ignore this. I'm mainly being a hypochondriac and getting my nervous breakdown out while not "talking" to anyone who knows me well and might get worried about what I'm saying. Its really scary when after talking more about your digestive problems the doctor orders an ( Read more... )

You said "Can you at least eat bacon?" and my first instinctive response was "Jesus Christ, NO." Since that's not a normal saying for me... shoot, at this point I've had restaurant hamburger 2 or 3 times in the last 6 weeks. I can eat baked or broiled chicken. And I've had a couple pieces of cooked pork. A friend made a home made tomato sauce with meat in it that doesn't seem to hurt me but Prego tomato sauce (in a jar) does. The doctor said that may be because of the preservatives and stuff in the pre-made stuff and said something about staying away from vinegar. I was bad yesterday (wanted to go to a restaurant but my wheelchair didn't have enough of a charge so I stopped at small food mart) I'm not sure if it was the per-packaged bar-b-Que sandwich or the egg sandwich with ketchup (vinegar!) that I ate later but today really sucked. Topped off by me trying to do some sewing and being unable to see well enough to thread a needle.

On the plus side (yea!!!!!) I've started knitting. I did a small amount in college (some 37 or so years ago), and when a friend wanted to learn I helped her some. It got me to thinking and it turns out to be something I can do while I watch TV. I can't do embroidery because if I can focus on the work, I can't see the TV with the same glasses. I have problems reading and watching TV for the same reason. But I can KNIT and watch TV. I'm been going wild on the Science and history channels. Its surprising how many things they taught us in school are no longer believed to be true.
