And yesterday we were talking about the blue blue sky..
Our annual trip to Penang didn't work out this year. I didn't get to watch as many movies paying only RM9. I didn't go to Pasar Malam, because for some reason it rains every freaking Monday night! I didn't get to go for a day trip in Malacca or visited M.O.S as i wished i had. And.... I didn't eat enough of Murni's Claypot Loh Shi Fun, SS2 La la, Seremban Siew Pao and Chilli Pan Mee to last me for one whole year :(
But this trip back home, just like any others, still meant alot to me.
Even though it was only a month, and i always complain for having to be my family's driver fetching my mum and brother around,I know for sure i'm gonna miss doing these daily routines..
Family Garden Dinner
Where the 3 siblings prepared and cooked everything from scratch (minus the washing up!), set up tables at the garden outside (even brought out fan and mosquito coil).. The night was then ended with a round of Pictionary game, having my mum as the biggest loser, because she really can't draw for nuts!

Family Portrait
My mum decided that we should (finally) have a FULL family portrait this time, considering all of us are always not around, and its hard to gather us at the same place. She got this photographer to our house and we were quite excited about it - at first, but you know what? Its not that easy trying to plaster the same smile and tilting your head to that perfect angle for 3 hours!

Soundsystem Reunited
We managed to gather the 6 of us for dinner, finally! The only one missing is Su Ann! I really wonder when is the time when ALL of us will be sitting in one table..
Thai Aromatherapy Massage
Having to strip in public for the first time, well not exactly public like in front of a truckloads of people, but..yeah you get what i mean, as long as it isn't at home in a private space, it feels public!! It was (a little) awkward for me at first, but the comfort eventually took over and in no time, i was just closing my eyes and enjoying that 90 minutes of massage...
I walked out smelling like i fell into a big tub of massage oil though!
KL shopping trip and Food at Jalan Alor
Shopping in KL didn't turn out to be as bad as what I expected, the only thing was time constraint! Stuffs were cheap, too many varieties, but too little time unfortunately.. Also had a taste of truly Malaysia's tourism activities which includes paying ''tourist prices'' for hawker food at jalan alor!!
Chinese New Year
One of the biggest reason why i was back in KL. And also, the reason why my mum postponed my flight! Reunion dinner this year was held in KL instead of back in hometown like previous years, I had relative(S) staying over at my place, which means my brother and I were forced to sleep in the hall upstairs! pfft. This new year was filled with family outings, multiple open houses, gambling sessions, huge consumption of CNY junk food/cookies and more gambling sessions! Being a non-gambler (usually), i have to say i've been pretty lucky this year! Lets hope that's a good sign to more wealth this year!

Baking
It was a super random and spontaneous plan. After dinner one night, i just came across a recipe book in my kitchen, went through the ingredients needed, realized that i have everything at home, and voila...!! the next thing i found myself doing this..
And hey, it actually looks (and tastes) pretty similar okay!

Bridal Shopping
My sister insisted for me to be with her during her first bridal shopping/ gown trying experience..On the morning i was leaving itself, we were determined enough to wake up at 9am, got dressed and headed to several bridal shops in town..We were ''ooooh-ing" and ''aah-ing" at every sight of pretty wedding gowns we saw. I felt like a jakun for a moment. But later on i thought to myself "Hey, im sure most girls would have the same reaction, considering it would be most of their first times too". And then i felt better about it :) I swear we were spoiled with choices and all the different packages etc!

The Farewell
Sorry for blogging about the same damn thing every fucking time i leave home..i'm surprised that after the 4th time, i;m still NOT immune to this farewell process..
Each year when i sit at the same spot, packing my bag, creating a mess in my room, my siblings would walk in one by one, accompanying me as we have random chats, which usually (always!) leaves us in tears..
