Only one episode to go and this show is killing me!
Firstly, the flashforwards give a whole new layer to the relationship between Kellog and Kiera and it also explains a lot about Kellog's mindset and, ironically enough, it seems Kellog wasn't a member of Liber8 until after they arrested/jailed him! This is rather brilliant.
And then poor Alec, calling his Roland his stepfather until the last, despite obviously being cut up about it, and Julian has now officially joined the Liber8 movement - and wasn't Kagame's comment telling? (Although how this moment had changed his life still isn't evident. Isn't he still not born?)
Also, has anyone else figured out what the piece of paper in Julian's hand was. I'm scratching my head, I think I may need a rewatch.
Also, Kiera and Kellog! I don't know about anyone else, but my head!canon rarely matches up with what's happening on the screen this perfectly. Not only are those two are drawing together but it's pretty much for the reasons I envisioned it.
But, of course, because its Continuum, I doubt this is going to settle into the status quo. I'm envisioning her husband turning up and Kiera being all guilty - and we know that's going to be bad news.
As for the time travel thing. I'm going with the trouser leg of time theory. In that they went back into their own timeline but then proceeded to travel up another - and I suspect this is at least the second time they've done this, or why else Future!Alec's knowing smile in the first episode?
ETA: And may I say that Kiera's joy at visiting the country and seeing real horses and cows is adorable!
ETA again:And Kellog reading The Brothers Karamazov? Really? Are we talking the larger themes, or is it supposed to be a more personal reference re: Alec and Julian, and Matthew and Laura Kellog?
