I finally got round to watching this this evening, (damn tennis has been consuming all my tv watching time). The Doctor's going to find a way to bring Rory back right? right? Oh Amy you can't forget Rory.

It almost had to be the TARDIS. I'm so looking forward to the rest, can't wait to see where they are going with this.

Rory's death was so sad to watch - and the way the Doctor had to drag Amy back into the TARDIS was heart rending.

And yes, I think the Doctor has a plan.

After all, history can be rewritten!

I have a nasty feeling that they will save Rory from obliteration but he will still die for some reason.

[Grins] You are awful, you know that?

Excuse me while I put my fingers in my ears, and sing the song of THE NILE!

This song? *points to icon* I'm singing along with you!

I'm sure the Moff has something devious planned. And I think it might involve the engagement ring that they were oh-so-careful to focus on.

I can see it now - the Doctor uses the ring to bring him back, but in the process destroys it! Rory is very pissed about that, as he has just signed away six months pay on it!

Ambrose's pointless stupidity pretty much ruined the episode for me - there were plenty of ways it could have gone wrong without her behaving like an idiot.

I'm sure there was a 'lesson' in there somewhere, it's just that a two year old could tell you that a live hostage gave you more baragining power than a dead one - and the whole thing about how she didn't know the weapon would do that? What did she think it'd do? Blow soap bubbles?

I think it was a taser; that makes more sense, both from a plot and character point of view. Ambrose didn't actually mean to kill her, just to threaten her, because she was desperate. Note that it took two or three shots of the "weapon" to kill the Silurian.

I agree with you that Ambrose's behaviour was a bit odd, given the signals Alaya was sending...

And TARDIS shrapnell!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not convinced about the TARDIS part yet. I know we're supposed to believe that the Tardis will be destroyed in the final episode thus creating the cracks, but I think there's something a bit more timey-wimey going on here.

I'm still working the angles but I am starting to believe that all the details are already in place for the season finale.

It'll be interesting, that's for sure. This may be the first finale I've enjoyed since season one!
