Things I didn't like:

Alaya's death seemed a bit off colour. Ambrose seemed smart enough, surely she would have figured out that Alaya's kami-kaze mindset wouldn't be perturbed by her threats to kill her. The only point of this scene seemed to be to vilify Ambrose?

And then starting up the mine drill again? Way to compound the problem - and a prime example of the stupidity gene again. Hello? You do remember your son/grandson and husband/son-in-law are still down there - and so will you be?

Things I liked:

I adored Rory in this episode. He's obviously very worried about the new turn of events, but sticks to his guns and the Doctor's plan, and insists that they return Alaya to her people. And, oh god, the delight on his face when he sees Amy is alive:

Rory: Amy, you're alive. i though I'd never see you again

Amy: What, because I was sucked into the ground? You're so clingy!

Amy rescues herself from the lab! Yay!

The Doctor: Not got any celery, have you?

Nasreen and Amy trying to agree to a treaty. Bloody hilarious! Although, giving away the Autralian outback and the Sahara? Maybe you should ask the people already living there first? just a thought?

Squeaky bum time!

Super squeaky bum time!

Eldane!

And Malohkey, the amiable vivisectionist - I was actually a bit sad when he died.

This planet is to be shared!

And Nasreen didn't die! Yay! Come and look for us, Doctor (Fic! Pullease!)

OMG Moments

Noooooooooooooooo! Rooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy!

Poor Amy, I'm not sure what's worse. The grief, or not remembering she had something to grieve over.

[I'm really hoping this feeds into the other moment when he tells her to remember - Angel episode - there's a theory that the Doctor who came back to hold her hand, was in fact future!Doctor - and I say that it's all part of a big plan to BRING RORY BACK!]

Amy, as she waves at herself: I thought I saw someone else there for a moment... So sad.

And the TARDIS fragment in the crack! DOOM!
