I LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
More or less. God, so much to fill in and I'm not sure how much time I have...
First, still no internet at my house. ;_; However, we've finally fixed my laptop so I can access internet at the school, instead of having to use the school's computer. But with school starting next week, I'm not positive how much time I'll have to use it.
Last night was my first enkai with my teachers. It went well I think; lots of laughing and joking and teaching them the difference between "dessert" and "desert". I think I ate fugo. At least, they told me it was fugo. It wasn't the sashimi though; it was this deep fried thing that looked like it was just the end part of the fish. Today I have to help some of my students with their speeches for the upcoming contest (one in September and the other is in October), then I have to head out to the town hall to pay my rent. It's kind of drizzling now so I hope that tapers out before I go!
This weekend I'm hosting a Pirates vs. Ninja party at my house for the local JETs. I may have over-extended myself just a bit. I was expecting maybe 10 people... There's going to be at least 15! O.o My house is pretty big but yikes! Hopefully my neighbors won't take out a contract on me after this. Kagawa JETs apparently are dedicated to the art of the party (and JET-o-nomics). I will of course be going as a ninja as we all know that ninjas kick ass. My co-hostess will be attending as a pirate though. ^_~ This may very well have to become an annual event.
In September I've got two 3-day weekends coming up. Going to try at use one of them (not sure which yet) to wander over to Osaka/Kyoto and tread the old stomping grounds a bit. There's some people going to Tokyo as well but I think I'll save that for later in the year.
