LR Progress: First Draft

Getting into an interesting scene, finally! Past few hundred words are a bit heavy on the info but I think they are necessary. I don't feel they particularly slowed the narrative since they were mostly dialogues...but then again, I am still learning how to do dialogues properly so perhaps I messed it up big time. I will fix that later. I just hope it will work as a contrast for this sudden activity.

I may have to aim for 6500 words instead; I am sure I will cut 1500 words or so after the first revision, then add some in the second revision.

I am reading further into motivation-reaction units and it's really tricky to incorporate that into my current level of writing. One thing stands out, however. That I should write as the focal character would see and feel. it's tricky since I have tendency to cross third person omniscient to limited, back and fro.

For now, I will work on completion; once I am revising for vivid narratives and clarity, I will re-read the chapters (pg. 71) and hope I get fired up again!

In my anxiety to see some further progress, I wrote couple hundreds of words last night, and nearly got into trouble again...sigh. Gotta do something more constructive then stare at the computer when I get home.

Progress...slow but steady! I'm looking forward to next writing session, regardless.
