Perhaps I'm having the same issue as my previous draft: I'm reading over for show & tell and the overall flow, and I keep thinking, "this is gold."

I did fix some plot issues but I already know it's not gold. I should be seeing some strangeness but I'm not picking them up.

I'll try highlighting the show&tell sections again.
