7 out of 22 scenes are done now. A long semi-climatic scene coming up, in which my protagonist should fall deeper into despair. Sorta. (unlike previous draft's super woman)
I still feel the writing is a bit heavy, but past few scenes came out good. Dialogues improved quite a bit too, I think.
The outline is definitely helping...though I'm not sure if it all makes sense. I still remember one story I wrote following a outline: it all seemed to make sense...until I finished it and noticed a glaring plot hole.
I had hoped to reuse some of the scenes from my previous draft. Alas, I have written from scratch so far. I think with later scenes, I might be able to salvage the previous draft...along with all the helpful critiques.
Hopefully I can self-edit and iron out the wrinkles better than the last time.
Oh, and Above is now on the market. Waiting for rejections, one, two, three...
